• Copyright

Materials made available to students on Moodle are for each student's personal use only. For copyright-protected materials, all other uses beyond personal use, including copying or redistributing materials for use by others, is strictly prohibited.

The instructor of record and students are responsible for ensuring that all materials they post in Moodle are in compliance with the Canadian Copyright Act and open access or institutional license agreements, and that appropriate copyright permission has been obtained, when required.

Institutional and individually purchased license agreements generally limit use of digitally reproduced works to a single course offering in Moodle. Before reusing a licensed work for a subsequent course, copyright permission must therefore be reverified or repurchased. More details are available on the U of L Copyright website.

As copyright law, terms of institutional licenses, and content in the Library's online resources change from time to time, please consult the U of L Copyright website or contact the University Copyright Advisor (copyright@uleth.ca or 403-332-4472) for current information.
